How Can My Child Participate in a Fashion Show in New York?
Children ages 3–18 can apply to participate in New York Kids Runway (NYKR), a professional children’s runway experience in New York City. No previous modeling experience is required, and children of different backgrounds, sizes, and experience levels are welcome.
The next New York Kids Runway audition will take place on October 18, 2026, in Manhattan. The runway show will be held on November 21, 2026.
How Does My Child Apply?
Parents can begin by completing the official NYKR model registration form.
The registration process normally asks for:
The child’s name and age
Parent or guardian contact information
The child’s height and clothing size
A recent photograph
Previous runway experience, if applicable

Does My Child Need Modeling Experience?
No. Children do not need previous modeling or runway experience to apply.
NYKR welcomes first-time participants as well as children who have already worked in fashion, entertainment, dance, acting, or modeling. During the audition, the team looks at qualities such as confidence, personality, enthusiasm, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to learn.
What Happens at the Audition?
The audition gives each child an opportunity to walk, pose, follow simple directions, and express their personality in a supportive environment.

The audition is designed to be age-appropriate and welcoming. Children are not expected to arrive with a perfect runway walk.
What Happens After the Audition?

Participants then prepare to model designer clothing during the professional New York Kids Runway production.
